Green instructed the clerk not to call the police, but employees at a nearby Taco Bell did after they saw the 6-foot-11 former basketball star break into the gas station.

The 34-year-old did not have a gun, but was reportedly caught by security walking around the store and taking off his shirt before lunging at the employee. Green does not face any alcohol related violation.

If convicted, he could face between one and six years in prison.

Despite this, Green remains a first round pick in the 2008 NBA Draft, going 28th overall to the Memphis Grizzlies before being traded to the Houston Rockets and Sacramento Kings.

But Green failed to develop, and by 2013, he was playing professionally in Puerto Rico. Since then, he has played professionally in China, the Dominican Republic, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon and Taiwan, before being relegated to the third division.

Green was previously arrested in 2014 for fighting outside a Miami Beach nightclub with then-St. Louis Rams linebacker Joe Lawn Dunbar. He was charged with battery and disorderly conduct.

Most recently, Greene has played in the Big3 league, which is a 3-on-3 league of former NBA players
