(25 January 2023) /Endurance Sports / – The Ironman Group announced today that Jones Beach State Park and the South Shore of Long Island will host its newest Ironman® 70.3® Triathlon. The first ever IRONMAN 70.3 triathlon in New York – Jones Beach is scheduled to take place on September 23, 2023. The athletes will embark on a journey where they will embark through some of the most beautiful areas of Long Island such as the Jones Beach Playhouse, the famous Jones Beach Boardwalk, and Nassau County Produced by State Parkway. Public registration for the Ironman 70.3 New York – Jones Beach Triathlon will open on February 1, 2023, by visiting, www.ironman.com/im703-new-york.

Ironman 70.3 New York – Jones Beach will treat athletes to a 1.2-mile swim in Zack’s Bay at Jones Beach State Park, a 56-mile scenic bike ride along the Wantage State Parkway, and culminating with a 13.1-mile run along the world-famous route. The Jones Beach Boardwalk that runs along the coast with a unique finish line experience on the beach itself.

With three international airports to fly by and the Long Island Rail Road, visitors can easily get to Jones Beach and experience the many areas of Nassau County, Long Island, and the greater New York City area.
