MLB Props Picks – Our Best Bets on September 23

For our favorite MLB player picks today, we’ll go for a heavy pitcher with plenty of great value shells. Expect two horrible troupes to aid two troopers, and a certain Boston jug raining down on the judge’s procession.

Cubs collapse

As the season comes to a close, there are some fading squads out there and the Chicago Cubs is one of them. They are the perfect team for targeting with opposing shooters and their overall hits.

This lineup that allowed Mitch Keeler to go six rounds by four strokes and seven strokes yesterday and projects as one of the heaviest hitting formations on the board today.

Enter Bryse Wilson of Pittsburgh, whose 6.07 ERA helps us take a big number in his market total of 15.5 at +125 for the Over. Right hand Pittsburgh has topped this Over in three straight and seven of the last 10—which includes six .500 teams.

Wilson has a long handlebar for a high ERA pitcher and hits 90 shots despite giving up running. The BAT displays it in over 17 locations which makes it great against the easy-to-navigate top-to-bottom Chicago lineup that’s packed.

Bryce Wilson Prop: Over 15.5 points (+125)

Hill goes full heels

Veteran bowler, Rich Hill, faces off against Aaron Judge and the Yankees at Yankee Stadium tonight, and the left will not concede the matter to the judge.

It’s amazing that more teams aren’t walking with Judge in his quest to beat the Maris, but Sox walked him three times last night and didn’t give him much of a pitch in the strike zone. Especially when considering that Barry Bonds walked 177 times when he hit 73 in 2001.

Of the 26 pitches Judge saw, only four were in the strike zone. Rich Hill would have no problems getting around him on the Bronx booing chorus.

“Pat” has predicted Hill for 13 times, and with the judge at the top of the rankings, there’s a chance he’ll face him three times. Just Judge’s outings can get us past the line here, but at +100 to walk two or more times, we’re chasing story events for edges on Friday night.

I would like to see Hill purposely walk the judge at the bottom of the first and go with a full heel a day after the Red Sox were officially eliminated from the post-season.

Rich Hill Prop: more than 1.5 of walking (+105 in DraftKings)

fading

Chris Bassett would be happy to take on the Oakland offensive though, having earned two out of three from Seattle, he’s still one of the worst combined lineups in baseball. I would be impressed if any bookmaker could name four players in that order.

A’s dies in last hits per game, 29th place per game, 28th place in extra basic hits percentage, and 23rd place each time. They also sit in the bottom 10 in the pitches that appear for each board appearance.

Bassett will face his former team in a familiar stadium and has scored at least 18 times in 23 of his 29 appearances this season. BAT plans him for 104 pitches, and against this squad who also traveled from the West Coast to the East Coast last night, he should easily flirt with over 18.5 offshorers for the extra money. This is much closer to the heart of the coin than the plus odds suggest.

Chris Bassett Prop: Over 18.5 points (+125 in DraftKings)
