Ben Simmons’ experience with the Brooklyn Nets got off to a terrible start, as members of the organization began to grow frustrated with the three-time All-Star.

It was reasonable to expect a certain level of rust from Simmons to start this season. He missed the entire 2021-22 campaign due to mental health issues and back injuries that required it Microdiscectomy surgery in May.

The Nets acquired Simmons from the Philadelphia 76ers as part of a trade for James Harden on February 10. He was expected to add playmaking to their offense and bolster their defensive presence.
