VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) – Elias Peterson scored his second goal of the game to tie the game with 1:20 left in regulation and added the penalty shootout winner in the Vancouver Canucks’ 6-5 win over the Seattle Kraken Thursday night.
Peterson, who also had three assists, blasted a powerful shot over the face-off circle to connect with goaltender Spencer Martin for an extra tackle.
The Canucks had a solid game a minute before 3-on-3 overtime after Seattle called Jordan Eberle, but were unable to score.
Andrei Kuzmenko had a goal and two assists for Vancouver, Len Pederson scored his first goal in his third NHL game and added an assist, and Brock Boozer also connected. The Canucks have defeated the Kraken all six times they have met.

Kuzmenko cut the score to 4-3 at 5:13, hitting the rebound on a Pederson shot.
Sprong scored his second goal of the night just over a minute later, as he tipped Brandon Tanev. Boozer got Vancouver back to within one point, redirecting Peterson’s shot past goaltender Martin Jones on a power play at 8:52.
