Warriors, Celtics have gone in different directions since the NBA Finals

Hard to believe that the Golden State Boston Warriors Celtics Thursday’s game is a rematch of the NBA Finals from nearly seven months ago. It feels much longer than that, especially for the warriors.

Golden State 22-22, a surprising follow-up to its championship. Warriors have excuses for that. They got injured. There seems to be some heroism hangover, too.

On the flip side, the Celtics look like a team that came so close to the title that they want to finish the job. Boston is 33-12, Jason Tatum He is in the MVP conversation and it looks like the Celtics are the team to beat this season.

Maybe the warriors will collect it and have a say in it. Thursday night might provide some insights into that. The Celtics are favored by 5.5 points at BetMGM.

The first time the two teams met, the Warriors played one of their best games of the season. They won 123-107 in San Francisco. Tatum struggled from the field, shooting 6 of 21. The Warriors rarely missed, especially from inside the three-point line. The Celtics are a good defensive team and the Warriors did what they wanted. Which is what happened in the NBA Finals last season.

Even with the Warriors at . 500 this season, this is still one of the standout games of the NBA regular season. It’s smart to assume that Golden State will look like a normal at game time. Perhaps Thursday will be a preview of what’s to come.

Here’s a first look at our sports betting list for Thursday:

The rest of the NBA schedule

There are five NBA games on a fairly light night. Other than the Warriors-Celtics, the highlights might be a pair of road favorites.

the Toronto Raptors travel to meet Minnesota Timberwolveswho caught themselves without being injured Cities Carl Anthony. Toronto is the 4.5-point favorite. Then later Philadelphia Seventy Sixers Are you in Portland Trail Blazers. The 76ers won eight out of 10, with James Harden He played well for most of that period (although he only scored six points in wins over Los Angeles Clippers Tuesday). Philadelphia 2.5 is preferred.

Big Ten college basketball highlights

It may be the top two games on the Big Ten Thursday college ring schedule.

Michigan State hosts Rutgers, which is very good this season but even better at home. The Spartans are a 2.5-point favorite. In the second game of the Fox Sports 1 doubleheader, Indiana plays Illinois, which is favored 5.5. The Illini had a lull in the middle of the season but have looked a lot better lately and could be Purdue’s only real threat to the Big Ten title.

Big night in the NHL

There are 13 NHL games on Thursday night, including some good ones. Leading NHL Boston Bruins (-110) Get a good test at New York Rangersthe night after a confrontation New York Islanders. It’s rare for the Bruins to get odds of -110 and be tempted to bet on them, even though they have a road game for the second night in a row. the Tampa Bay Lightning take on Edmonton Oilers (-110) In a match between two top teams. Moreover , New Jersey Devils (-125) take on Seattle Kraken In a match between two teams that must be in the playoffs.

What’s your best bet?

I’ll go with the Celtics. When Boston is on their game, they are hard to beat. The Celtics are the best team in the NBA and it’s hard to argue otherwise. The Celtics will also want to give Golden State some payback for their first meeting, and possibly still the NBA Finals as well. This is a game for which they must be prepared.
