“I’ve always wanted to start my own brand. It’s always been something I’ve been very excited about,” Brinkley-Cook says over the phone after appearing on NBC’s “Today” show to promote her new venture. It was launched on October 23rd with a website It features $45 meditation candles, $24 room sprays, and starting at $888, “angel number” necklaces that the site describes as “handcrafted in Los Angeles from 14-karat recycled gold and responsibly sourced diamonds.”

She found a partner in Ira Aldanmaz DeWitt, 51, founder of St. Candles and wife of Bill DeWitt III, president of Major League Baseball’s St. Louis Cardinals. “Our ideas are really aligned, ours and Ira’s,” says Brinkley Cook. They met through “mutual friends and we were just totally aligned with our intentions in terms of business and also in creating this brand. So it came very naturally.”

In pseudoscience, angel numbers are sequential or repeating numbers “associated with a specific vibrational energy or frequency that carries meaning,” explains the Sacred + Divine website. “Seeing a number repeat as if your angels are signaling to you to deliver an important message.”

For example, node 444 represents “comfort, faith, and protection,” while 555 represents “change and, most importantly, a reminder that change is often a good thing.” The company does not have a pendant with 666, which, although identified as the Luciferian “number of the beast” in the Bible’s New Testament Book of Revelation, is also a numerical reminder to refocus, step back, and see the bigger picture.

For Brinkley-Cook — who is signed to modeling agency IMG and still occasionally models, and who competed on “Dancing With the Stars” in 2019 — the company is part of a young awakening she experienced while she waited out the worst of COVID. -19 pandemic in her hometown of Sag Harbor. A graduate of The Ross School in East Hampton, Brinkley Cook is currently on sabbatical from Parsons School of Design in Manhattan, and spent lockdown to earn her Health Coach certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition with her year-long online course. I also took a four-month online class at Harvard Business School called Entrepreneurship Essentials.

As she says, “Something I use to overcome my anxiety is doing mindful walks without my phone and trying to be very observant and aware of my surroundings. This was where I called angel numbers because I started seeing these repeating number sequences. In life we have something called synchronicity.” …seeing something somewhere in time that you’re thinking about. So when I started seeing these angel numbers, I was going to research what those numbers mean, and they actually have a meaning — a sense of support from the universe.”

For now, you will feel supported by the family. “I’m just driving east for Thanksgiving now,” she says, to her mother’s house. There will be her half-brother Jack Brinkley Cook, as well as her half-sister to cabaret singer Alexa Ray Joel and Joel’s father and music legend Billy Joel and his family. “We all spend it together,” Sailor says happily.
